The space is lovely, and the servers were great, but the food was mediocre. The Boeuf Bourguignon was tepid, and the scallops were just okay. However, we had a really nice bottle of champagne that was reasonably priced, and the mousse au chocolat was outstanding. Overall, I would say this is a great place for happy hour or for dessert, but not for a meal, especially for the price.

The service was careless, and the food seemed poorly prepared. Overall, my experience was negative, and I don’t plan on returning.

Gave it a low rating due to one of our dishes being cold and then after reheating it was dry. The chicken. We mentioned to our server but she just blew us off. Made a bad impression on first time diner.

We went for NYE dinner. The space is spectacularly beautiful and the ambiance is a whole vibe. The service was pretty good, especially for a busy night like NYE. I would consider the food to be subpar, especially for the price point. I’ve had better french onion soup at non-French restaurants. The duck was entirely too salty while the beef bourguignon was quite bland and could have used a little more salt. I might try coming back for happy hour/cocktails but would probably not come back again for dinner.

Really nice place but food was awful - it was a busy night, 31st but my salmon was well done and over seasoned, (although waitress said chef recommends medium), my friends food was unseasoned (mushrooms on the plate were good). Fromage board honestly looked depressing. Waitress was super nice but overall it was busy - we got water refilled once in an hour and half. Since it’s considered a nicer restaurant and considering prices our experience was overall really poor and we were truly disappointed.

Usually NY Eve meals are less than you’d normally get. Last night was an exception to that rule. Service was attentive but not pushy. Every course was spot on. The upstairs dining room is absolutely lovely. Great dining experience. We can’t wait to go back

After dining at their properties in NYC, we booked this with high expectations. Sadly—neither the food nor the service were even average—we will gladly revisit all of the properties in New York—but not this property in Chicago. Where to start—in NYC the staff seemed happy to be there—in Chicago, we seemed a distraction. Upon being seated, we ordered a nice (~$100) bottle of wine and asked for the cheese board and charcuterie, having experienced both in NYC. The waiters response: we need you to order everything all at once—do you know your entree orders? It was NYE, so that wasn’t a deal breaker—they’re trying to turn the tables—we get it. So . . .we all took another look at the menu. And then we ordered—salads, apps, steaks etc—we weren’t skimping. And when the cheese/charcuterie boards arrived . . .it was pretty bleak. In NYC there multiple pieces of cheese and more meat than we could eat—as an app. Here in Chicago—four small slivers of cheese and a few slices of meat. All of which were underwhelming. When the entrees arrived—it was more of the same. The steaks were thin (~1/2 the size for the same price as Gibsons or Bavette’s or Steak 48 etc.) and the fish and everything else . . .meh. Went in with the highest expectations and could not have been more disappointed. Stick to their properties in NYC—avoid Chicago.

They need to work on their service, from the minute I walked in, hostess seemed annoyed. Bartender was overwhelmed than mansplajned to me the order of how I would be serviced. Our waiter, when I said it was our first time there, and asked about the menu, “well the menu is pretty explanatory” Lyonnaise salad usually comes with a poached egg, ours was pretty much a hard boiled egg. Steak frite was fine. The highlight was the sweet lady who cleared our tables, she was a ray of sunshine. And then we received a new waiter half thru our service and he was very nice. Also, the space itself was beautiful. If this restaurant wants to be around for the long haul they need to up their game.
