Every one of our five entrees were beautiful and delicious. The variety of offerings on the menu were fabulous despite the fact that the menu was not overwhelmingly too large. The servers are kind and fun. The acoustic music in the background was just perfect.

The waiter forgot about us and didn’t take our order for 25 minutes. My drink arrived when we were almost done eating. My wife’s food was cooked wrong, against her specific request. Worst waiter ever.

Locally owned hotel/restaurant with a focus on vegan/vegetarian choices but other options are available although very limited. Drinks menu is also limited. The people are nice and we did enjoy our dinner there. The only negative thing was the duo singing or more like whining. Something out of the 60’s flower power. Monotenous.

Amazingly, the entrees weren't bad, though overpriced. The host/ waitress/ busser seemed like she got her training at a roadside dine 30 years ago. The only thing missing was a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. The pate plate was a few slices of 7/11 quality proscciuto, tough as nails, a fishy pate, some stale-ish bread and slices of tomato, green pepper and miced onion. A waste of a serving tray. The thing that stayed with me though, was the silverware. It was the kind that you might get at a campground. I just don't get it. My advice, find something else.

La Luna must have been short-staffed when we arrived for lunch, one server for multiple tables. We sat in the bar area, was surprised to see the rather messy service tables, a vent held in place with electrical tape, stacked wine buckets just sitting in the aisle, etc. As such an historic site I thought it would be spiffier. However, the food was tasty and the prices were not excessive.

LaFonda is a unique Restaurant in Taos, NM. Its menu featured items mad entirely of ingredients used pre colonial time. If you want to experience this instead of steak and fries, try it. Not the cheapest place in Taos, but also located in a historic plaza with old style hotel. The wait staff paid attention to our 2 grand children (14 + 6) and brought some of the orders right away.
