   We reserved a table for our anniversary based on our experience at Michaels in Villanova and the reviews. We had an amazing, reasonably priced meal paired with an Alsace dry Riesling (Dopf & Irion). Dinner selections included Escargot, Mussels, and Bouillabaise - all deliciously prepared. For dessert we had a yummy White Chocolate “L’Orange” which was like nothing we’ve ever experienced with a glass of Sauterne. Wonderful meal in a great setting with an attentive, experience waitstaff. Sarah the hostess (and Sommelier) was wonderful and super-friendly!!

   This is our favorite restaurant in Saint Augustine. We loved the previous owners but love what the chef from Michaels has done. We love Michaels as well but La Nou is walking distance from our house!! The food is perfect and the atmosphere is divine.

   What a lovely and refreshing experience at La Nouvelle! From the moment we were greeted to the moment we left we felt taken care of. So many thoughtful touches for us celebrating a birthday, and the food was EXCELLENT. Our server Dean was spectacular: knowledgeable, patient, and there when we needed. Ambiance was such a bonus - we knew and already loved the location from the restaurant that was there before, and we were delighted to see it reopen with an even more beautiful renovation. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you to the La Nouvelle team for a delightful evening.

   This was our second visit to La Nouvelle, and while the food remained stellar, unfortunately, We were seated outside on the west end of the porch, which became excruciatingly hot during our meal. It was difficult to enjoy our meals while baking in the afternoon sun and fending off a few heat struck flies. What made it more frustrating was that a shaded table at the East end of the porch sat vacant during our entire meal. We wish there had been a bit more attentiveness from the staff when we first seated. Adding a simple sun shade or shutters along with a more powerful ceiling fan would make a world of difference. LaNouvelle still delivers when it comes to cuisine, but a dining experience is more than just the plate. Hopefully, next time, we will find ourselves in the shade - literally and figuratively.

   The restaurant is lovely and the people also. We both had fish (1 Bronzino, 1 Bass). Unfortunately, they were both so lemony that it overpowered both dishes. Quite surprised as the 1st thing that were told, by our waitress, is that the chef is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu. Must have been a bad night.

   Charming location in a residential area. We sat on the porch, it was lovely and the service was awesome. But, oh the food! The duck confit is truly memorable. It is my go-to order at French restaurants. It was the best ever.

   Truly exceptional in every way. I hesitated to post a review because I selfishly wanted to keep it a secret, but La Nouvelle has earned the right to be recognized. After my fourth experience here, I can easily say this is my favorite restaurant in north Florida. This restaurant takes you from a beautiful home in St Augustine to a lovely intimate restaurant in France the moment you walk through the door. If you were to filter out the soft noises of animated conversations in English, you would swear you were in Paris. The service is outstanding, no matter who you speak with - the host, server, or sommelier. I have had the good fortune to be served by Jessie on 2 occasions; a consummate professional whose style and personality would make her a welcome addition to any restaurant in the world. She anticipated every need or question, and had the rare ability to know when to break into conversation and when to wait. This is not something that can be taught, so when you find it in nature, it deserves comment. Though I may have forgotten the names of the others, I would be no less pleased to be attended by any of the staff I have met. All are well trained professionals, and provide courses in proper order and with enough time to enjoy each in it’s entirety. The menu is simple, yet with a broad range of offerings to satisfy any palate. There is a slight favor towards seafood offerings, as is appropriate for a coastal town. Everything served is of the highest quality, and dishes are traditional yet sometimes given a local flourish if it adds something to the meal. The habanero/datil pepper sauce served with the oysters is a wonderful example of this, and is NOT to be missed. I could not help but think of the Disney movie Ratatouille when served la Nouvelle’s version of the same, and it was a perfect encapsulation of the whole experience of the restaurant. Simple, traditional food prepared with the finest ingredients in a beautiful restaurant by people who love whatthey do

    First visit to this restaurant and it was wonderful! We were greeted with a “Happy Anniversary! And an immediate offer of something a little bubbly to start. We sat out on the porch on a very pleasant St Augustine evening. Service was excellent and professional yet personal. The very fresh and hot baguettes with salted butter and radish were perfect. The gem salad was dressed nicely and flavorful. We had the branzino and the flat iron steak, both perfectly prepared. Dessert was a crème brûlée that rivals my own, and that compliment came from my husband! Wine selection was fantastic and we loved our selection. All in all, we will be back. We have decided to celebrate our anniversary here each year.
