La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).

A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (thanks to our house truffle dog Alba!), rare woodland mushrooms, and much wonderful produce from our small organic farm in Kent.

The wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers, and regularly updated with a specialised focus on low intervention, natural and biodynamic wines.

We are across the road to the Design Museum & Holland Park, a 10 minute walk from Kensington Olympia and a short distance to the Royal Albert Hall.

We had a fantastic meal at La Palombe. But even more than the terrific food, the warmth and care that the staff — and owner— took to make us feel welcome was really special. We will be back!

We booked a table for my birthday and the restaurant was very generous contributing to our celebration - thank you. The staff were attentive and Jake the head chef came around during the evening to speak to all the customers (Always a nice touch). The food whilst not overly fussy was of high quality and very well cooked. We will be back as there are many dishes on the menu we would like to try. Overall an excellent experience.

A fantastic menu, which we all enjoyed. Highlights were the cote de beuf and the venison. We also loved the camembert special. Will definitely be coming back.

We would have no reservations to recommend this restaurant to anyone. From the initial welcome to every interaction with any member of staff was exceptional. I have never felt so compelled to give a tip on top of the discretionary service. If we could we would give 10 out of 5 and would make our way to the restaurant anytime we were in London

What a wonderful restaurant with imaginative menu and great service. Had the octopus as a starter followed by the rabbit roulade, both very tasty and cooked to perfection. Dessert was the chocolate fondant that was out of this world. We were also given freshly baked madeleines with our coffee which melted in the mouth. This restaurant is a class act by James’ team that merits your custom. You won’t be disappointed.
