   As genuine Francophiles who go to France every year, La Piquette is our favorite French restaurant in the DC metro area. It’s the most authentic brasserie/bistro vibe and has the consistently good food you expect to find in Paris or any town in France. The service is so professional and friendly. The staff appreciates regular customers and we won’t ever stop going there. What to eat? It’s all good. My favorite appetizers are the pork rillettes, the artichoke, the pate, the sweetbreads, and the tomato tart. For entree’s, the steak frites, rabbit linguine, veal Milanese style, any of the fish dishes, especially when they have skate wing. The only drawback is the noise level. People just don’t know how to use their inside voices. Too bad for all of us other diners who are just trying to have a quiet conversation.

   The food and service were outstanding. The main restaurant is very noisy and energetic, but we sat in the enclosed outdoor space in order to have a conversation more easily, and that was great. Quiet, warm, there are heaters and even blankets (they weren't needed even though it was quite chilly outdoors). Overall really great restaurant!! I will be back.

   Love this place. It's a neighborhood bistro...in my neighborhood. The food is exactly what you expect, but that's not a bad thing.

   Absolutely wonderful as always. This neighborhood gem has become our go-to restaurant before heading to the Washington Cathedral for every event. The food is delicious, the service is impeccable, and the staff is amazingly gracious. We can not wait to return.

   very hospitable entry even though I was early for my reservation. Service was a bit sporadic. The food was very good. The big problem was a large party that was extremely noisy, it was there when I arrived and it was there when I left. It was very difficult to hear my dinner companions discussion of anything as the diners at this large group proceeded to shout over each other to be heard. It’s difficult for a restaurant once a group like that is in but a restaurant should surely realize when a large group is too loud. It was clearly affecting other diners too.

    My friend and I had a lovely lunch. The cauliflower soup as an appetizer and the scallops with salad as an entree were simple delicious. The presentation and attentive service enhanced the dining experience.
