   Staff arguing over the bar about orders. We waited over 30 minutes for someone to take our drink / food order and that was only because i got up, found a server and asked could they take our order as we had been waiting a while. We asked for starters but they brought everything out together. We didn't receive our drinks until being at the table for nearly an hour. The food definitely needed a bit more seasoning but was okay in general. Once finished with the food, nobody came over to us for around 30 minutes so the table was completely full and we had to start stacking things up on the floor to create room. We had to get up and ask for the bill again as someone had been over, taken 2 plates and then forgot about us. I sadly wouldn't recommend which is a shame cause the place looks really lovely! If you do go, get a seat downstairs as there seemed to be more staff running about down there!

   Hi Chelsea, Our sincerely apologies for the negative experience, after some investigation I can assure that was a extremely busy peek time around 6.30 pm, after accessing CCTV, your drinks was taken 15 minutes after they being order.    We had eaten here a few times in the past and been delighted. However the food when it eventually came was poor. Not so bad to really complain about....but just poorly cooked and lazy. Patatas Bravas were tasteless with just mayo squirted across them. We waited 15 mins to get served after being seated. Seemed like insufficient staff. Sad as its a super venue. Cost cutting to the fore rather than quality.

   This is one of my favourite restaurants in Manchester. Last night was disappointing though. Food, as ever, was excellent, but despite not seeming that busy, the service last night was not good, and even poor by the standards I normally find there. When we arrived, we were directed to the bar, as our table wasn’t quite ready - but in the time we were at the bar (admittedly not very long) we were unable to order a drink as the bartender was waiting for the people before us to read the drinks menu - which was taking forever. All I wanted was a beer & a coke! At the table, I then had to catch the lady’s attention again to order a drink there. We had to catch her attention again later in order to order food. The food was reliably lovely as ever - but was served at the table forgetting to give us a plate each to eat it from. Not wanting to distract a waitress again - we just ate it off the serving plates. After hailing a waitress again I managed to order another drink for my partner, and then a little later - after another effort - I ordered a second beer for myself. This beer never showed up. After another wait - I was able to get the bill and I mentioned my second beer hadn’t arrived. Waitress apologised, and said she’d make sure it wasn’t on the bill. I cannot think of any other time I have asked for the service charge to be deleted from a bill - but I did last night. The restaurant only seemed about 1/2 full, and I cannot see any excuse why it was so hard to get good service last night. Thanks to the food, and previous good experiences, I will be back. I very much hope that last night was just a bad night. Best wishes Andy

   A new front of staff required! I’ve never met a more unhelpful front of staff, from refusing to accommodate us on another table when the restaurant was at around 25% capacity, to shouting at his staff, talking down or over us & flat out refusing to listen to any queries or questions we had… completely unprofessional Such a shame as the rest of the staff here were fabulous & the food delicious. Highly recommend La Vina review his role … tarnished a lovely family meal

   The very loud Christmas music on a loop became overbearing after a short while. The very flustered Maitre de told us the he couldn't do everything when we asked where our drinks were after a very long wait. The waitress was overstretched and a kitchen porter bought our food whilst still wearing blue plastic gloves. One dish was missing and when it eventually arrived it was very poor, rushed and all the food was served at just room temperature. Not expensive but will not be visiting again.

   Hi Melinda, our apologies for the negative experience, after some investigation we acknowledge some waiting time on drinks during a pick period but was immediately resolved by our team, regarding the music, we are having some trouble with our PA system and we hope to be sorted it very soon. Our restaurant follows high standards regarding food hygiene, all our food runners, not kitchen porter, use latex gloves to take food to the tables. Once again our apologies and hope this negative experience don't let you stop visiting us.

   We have used La Vina off and on for years but we're disappointed this time. We were seated upstairs and told that there were no 2 seaters left downstairs. Upstais was cramped. While we were there there was loads of empty 2 heaters downstairs. The menu was very sparse, the food was not piping hot and we were told when the food was delivered that they didn't have one of the items. Very disappointed generally

   An absolutely fine restaurant to go to. Service was fine and food was fine. But … very noisy music and too loud. It doesn’t know if it is a restaurant or a night club. I judge restaurants as places I’d return to or places I won’t. This is definitely somewhere that I won’t I return to. Again … perfectly fine place but not for me.

   Food tasted excellent but a bit on the luke warm side Music - too loud - caused a lot of "pardon"s. We asked for the volume to be turned down, which it was for a while then it went up again.. All in all a lovely experience with a couple of minor negs.

   Really disappointing 😞 Slow service and food wasn't what we had experienced in the past. Prices have also gone through the roof!! We won't be returning
