   Food and atmosphere are amazing, as are the service and the flexibility of the chef/owner to create a special dish for you. (In this case a Foie gras and Bone Marrow appetizer that was Heavenly.) By far my favorite Italian restaurant in Sarasota.

   Outstanding food and service! Enjoyed the vitello tonnato, and schiacciatina all’italiana appetizer and our entrees were delicious. We had caramelle candy shaped ravioli, tagliatelle al ragout di wagyu and risotto frutti di mare. All outstanding! Federico our waiter was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. He made our evening celebrating a birthday a fun experience.

   LaVioletta has become a second home to us. The staff are all warm and friendly people. We have met many people there and love seeing them time and time again. The food is outstanding! You must try their Wagu Rib Eye!!!!!! Again, thank you for another wonderful evening.

    While we have had many excellent meals at this restaurant, this last one was a huge disappointment. One of the many charms of this restaurant has been its European style and approach to dining. This last time, however, we had a waiter we'd never had before (Gregorio) and his behavior ruined the evening for the four of us. We were continuing to enjoy our second bottle of wine and conversation after we'd finished our meal, but we were constantly interrupted by the waiter asking if we wanted to order something else. He then whispered to the busboy who began trying to clear glasses although we were still drinking our wine. Finally, the waiter whispered to the gentleman in our group that we should vacate the table as there were people waiting for that table. It was evident there were not a lot of people waiting and there were various other tables of similar size available. We left with a bad taste in our mouths and have eliminated this restaurant from our "favorites" list. Not an inexpensive meal by Italian restaurant standards around here but previously worth it for the food, ambiance and European style service. No longer and what a shame!
