Outstanding cooking in the small neighbourhood restaurant. Excellent service, an absolute pleasure to dine here. Both fish and meat dishes always perfectly executed, excellent side options. Very good wine list. 2 mins from Tankerton bus stop.

We had a delicious breakfast, all three of us had different items and there were three clean plates at the end. Fantastic service, great selection of food and all very tasty.

It was very cold in the restaurant which didn't make for a great ambience. I noticed someone else with a coat still on. The menu was definitely more sea than land and unfortunately as I have an allergy to mussels, they featured in two of the available dishes. There was one meat dish on the whole menu which was a Barnsley lamb chop though there were some veggie options. The menu did say that they don't cater for allergies which is fair enough but once you're at the restaurant that's a bit late - I don't recall seeing that on their website or when previously dining there. We were going to get a glass each of rose as my friend unexpectedly had to drive due to illness but when we ordered the waitress suggested a small carafe for 2 large glasses. We'd relinquished the menu then but were surprised to see £30 on the bill - this transpired was for the 500ml carafe of a merlot rose called Madam not Adam. Had this Merlot rose been tasty this wouldn't have been too bad but it was unpalatable very very acidic. For 3 small plates, one main (£23) and one dessert, two Belvoir soft drinks and one carafe of not very nice wine £92 without service was somewhat poor value. Interestingly, I just did a search on my account back to December 22nd when we both had mains, shared plates, three bottles of wine as we were both drinking and my half of the bill was £72 including a decent tip. I know that's two years ago and things have gone up a lot but I remember really enjoying the previous night out but based on the most recent visit I wouldn't return.
