   They were setting up our table when we arrived. We were greeted by the host and offered to enjoy a drink at the bar or look around their shop. We decided to browse the shop. They had authentic food, bath products and clothing from Africa within the shop. When our table was ready we were escorted out to it. Felt like family sitting on the front porch of the old historic house that makes up the restaurant. There was a sign on the table greeting us with Happy Birthday. An employee greeted us and explained she would be in charge of water service and helping out with anything we may need. Someone would be by shortly to go over the menu. The general manager came by and explained that live music would be starting shortly and as they have an atmosphere of celebration, it may get loud. He offered to move us to a quieter location if we thought it ever got too loud. We never felt the music was too loud to keep a conversation from happening. We were greeted by our server who reviewed the menu and got drinks started. That evening they were offering a 3 course tasting flight with app, main course and dessert. While we were deciding, the owner came by and delivered my birthday gift. I won't say what it was so not to ruin the surprise for others. My wife got the whipped goat cheese and I got the Caribbean chicken wings. The whipped goat cheese was amazing. I was warned the chicken wings had some heat, and they did. However, the heat was not distracting from flavor like some other "hot" wings do. My wife had the flat iron and I had the Ox tail. I can't recall having dined at an African themed restaurant before. The flavors were unlike anything that I can remember, and not in a bad way. For dessert we both had sponge cake with strawberry sauce and Raspberries. It was a nice light ending to a perfect meal. All night we felt like were a guest to a family meal. The service and food were both amazing. Thank you! Book your res soon!

   We came for brunch over a holiday weekend. From our view, the restaurant didn’t seem busy, but service was slow. There were long waits, and our food came out at different times, which made the meal feel disjointed. The food itself was great—fresh and flavorful. We also really enjoyed the outdoor seating and music, which created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. The staff acknowledged the service issues and addressed them while we were still there, which we appreciated. We’ll definitely give it another try. Hoping for a smoother visit next time because the food and vibe are worth it.

   Latha is a great restaurant for an intimate date night/birthday dinner. The staff is amazing and attentive. Food spectacular. And overall vibe was top notch. My partner left her scarf and the staff called and texted me about it. We were able to backtrack to pick it up before going to the symphony. 10/10

   It took 90 mins to get my food. It took so long that our date night turned into an expensive takeout meal. Just all bad overall experience. When we got home, the food was decent. Never going again.

   Service by Mixologist Joyce was amazing. The food was delicious, started with the whipped goat cheese and was pleasantly surprised with the black garlic honey. Ended with the best pound cake I’ve had in a long time. Overall, great experience.

   Recently, my friend and I had the pleasure of dining at this unique and superb restaurant - Latha. The food was delicious and exquisite. The drinks were savory and quenched our thirst. The decor transformed us into a plantation home somewhere in Africa. We felt like we made friends there from the phenomenal service provided by Andrea to the friendliness of restaurant owner Evalia and my personal friend general manager Will.     The vibe in this place is totally laid back and enjoyable. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. They made sure we have everything we needed. We were greeted immediately and welcomed in even though they were busy. We had to wait for a table but they made sure we were comfortably seated somewhere while we waited, which was not long. The food was delicious, we especially enjoyed the whipped goat cheese with chapati bread. So delicious. The atmosphere is nice with feel good music in the background. We will definitely go back. They also have a sweet little gift shop selling African clothing and other artisan gifts.
