    From start to finish we had a lovely experience. The two young ladies who looked after us were so warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. We had starters of King prawns and coquilles St Jacques which were delicious. The home made bread was very tasty and was replenished. We both had the duck with orange sauce. It melted in your mouth. The accompanying vegetable platter was very tasty. We had olives as an appetiser and the portion size was great. Dessert was also thoroughly enjoyable. Fantastic value. Thank you again to our servers.

    A friend and I thought we were hungry, but after a long day travelling, we could not do justice to the excellent food. A very tempting and extensive menu could not be tackled this time, but I will be back. The service was perfect, with a friendly welcome. Delicious food which sadly we could not finish. Generous portions of tasty food. A gem of a place.

    We had dinner with friends who were visiting Edinburgh. Le Bistrot has a varied menu (3 had fish which they loved - I had ragout). Loved the food and wine and had a lovely table looking on to the Royal Mile. Excellent service - looking forward to visiting again.

    Excellent service and first class quality of food. I had the ham quiche to start with, this was a large portion served with salad, highly recommend. For the main course I had beef bourguignon, again this was a good portion of tender beef in a rich sauce. The service throughout was excellent.

    Good and venue was lovely. A nice chatter throughout the room without it being intrusive. Food was really tasty and good value for money and the staff were very friendly and welcoming
