   We had an exceptional dinner last night at Le Crocodile. We ordered the chefs table experience and every mouthful from the amuse bouche to the final dessert was outstanding. And even better, we were extremely impressed by the service we received. The chef/owner Rob Feeney made a point to come to our table and explain the intricate four point process turned the steelhead trout into a melt in your mouth delicacy. Thank you for the food, the service and the attention we received.

   Sometimes want to go out for a meal, and other times you want a dining experience - that’s le Crocodile! The food was magnificent, and the service extraordinary. Frog legs, Dover sole, beef Wellington, veal, crème brûlée - each dish full of complex flavours and beautifully presented, and accompanied by wines selected by sommelier Jill. Many thanks to Johnnie, our server. Chef Feenie has done a magnificent job with this establishment - we can’t wait to go back!

   Celebrated our 50th anniversary with a lovely dinner at Le Crocodile. When I made the online reservation I was asked if it was a special occasion and made note that it was our 50th anniversary. Yet once we were seated we were asked if we were celebrating anything. Told them yes, our 50th anniversary. To which we were congratulated. Our meal was lovely although we were surprised that my husband’s excellent beef tenderloin did not come with any vegetable apart from fries. Luckily my delicious seafood medley came with numerous crisp and tasty vegetables I was able to share with him. And there was no acknowledgment of our 50th apart from a very tiny scoop of sorbet for each of us at the end of our dinner - with a candle in mine. Sorry but I feel that was a big fail. Why did I pick one of the best restaurants in Vancouver for such a special occasion only for it to be an underwhelming acknowledgment of a momentous occasion.

   Had a lovely experience on a first date here. The ambience was perfect; it was busy but not too loud. The service was excellent; they gave us lots of time to talk and didn’t rush the experience, while checking in and serving the dishes at appropriate times. They didn’t mind that we shared plates. It was the first time for either of us having frog legs, which were delicious! A very memorable experience overall. My date and I really enjoyed it, and I earned a kiss and second date. Thank you!
