Nicole was so welcoming and funny. Awesome recommendations and a great personality. Food was on point as well, the French Onion Soup Burger clearly displaying why it has won multiple awards. The escargot as a starter was the right call and the red wine poached pear was a solid finisher. Great experience overall. Thank you.

Le Rivage is a quaint gem in New York City! My husband and I dined here during our Christmas trip and we were not disappointed. The ambiance was as amazing as the food!

Disappointed overall. High expectations dashed by an absolutely average french onion soup with burnt cheese, bland escargot and a so-so pate. The beef bourguignon was the highlight and the cog au vin was good. Most of the deserts were not available.

One of the most wonderful places on restaurant road and always a good deal. Sometimes rushed for pre-theater, but nonetheless a staple.

If we were not pressed for a Monday night, we would have gone somewhere else. A large percentage of the menu was unavailable. The beef tasted more par boiled than braised - not a good experience. Got there early for reservation but no good seating - we were very uncomfortable. Probably will not go again.

Overall, we had a good experience! Some of the people in our group loved our food, while others thought it was a bit average. All five of us got something different & sampled each others as well! The beef bourguignon was collectively our favorite. French onion soup was good, and we liked the bread! Our server was amazing and very sweet! The other wait staff were extremely nice as well. Especially for the area, we felt the prices were fair! However, my only complaint of the night was the man in the front. He was rude, not once, but three times to us. We’re a pretty young group, so maybe that’s why. The moment we walked in, I smiled and said that we had a reservation. He chuckled and said “yeah I’m sure everyone here does.” That was the first interaction I had with the restaurant which didn’t set the best tone. He then told us to leave our coats at the front, yet while trying to do that he demanded for us to move out of the way? Followed by rushing one member of our group to the table without the rest of our group to get us out of the way. It was definitely just an odd encounter and we’re super friendly people, so it just felt rude and unnecessary. Overall, it was good, but none of us were over-the-top impressed.
