   Went for lunch - maybe ordered the wrong thing - the tartine thing was a bit stodgy. Good value - lunchtime menu a bit limited - not sure if there is more choice in the evening.

   I went with a friend who has eaten there many times before and said it was good but I was really disappointed. Firstly, I don’t drink alcohol and when I asked what there was to drink, I was told apple juice and coke but, if they have syrups to make kir, they could easily design a few mocktails or alcohol free aperitifs. Just a lack of interest really. The confit duck was overcooked, it came with too many potatoes and some bits of lettuce on the same plate. My friend’s boeuf bourguignon was huge, too much for the dish and some of her potatoes were burned. Only the charcuterie platter was as it should have been.

   Classic French bistro with an outstanding winelist and simple list of classic French dishes served in the cave below the wine shop. Nothing fancy and yet amazingly executed. Very friendly team.

   The charcuterie and cheese board was very disappointing. The pink champagne and red wine we had were both very good. Staff friendly and good.
