   My group of 4 had a reservation for a birthday dinner at 7:15. The hostess was very apologetic when they could not seat us right away as a previous table was not leaving. We ended up having to wait for our table for 35 minutes. In the mean time we got a drink at the bar. Everyone from the hostess to the wait staff to the sommelier was very apologetic but we didn't mind. Everyone more than made up for our wait with complementary appetizer and a drink. Our birthday celebration was great and all of the food and drink was phenomenal. The sommelier Scott spent extra time with us when we had questions about the wine and was very kind and informative! We will be returning soon!

   Overall very disappointing. I’ve eaten at Ledger many times and have always enjoyed the food until last night. My salad arrived without any dressing. And, the salmon dish was drowning in sauce. Too bad.

   Excellent food in a cool, energetic atmosphere and the prices weren't too crazy. Feels like you're at a spot in Boston (which is a compliment). I would recommend to anyone.

   Had a great time. Ate at the bar. Bartenders were terrific! Talked to a lot nice people. You should try to make it at least one night when in Salem. Adrian

   Another amazing dining experience at the chefs’ table near the open kitchen ! We were a party of seven. We had several craft cocktails ( memorable was a gin “tea” served in a beautiful teacup), vintage grand cru champagne, wine, just about every hot or cold appetizer, oysters with caviar, popovers( must try) , carpaccio ( outstanding) , many beautifully prepared and delicious entrées ( my favorite is the mushroom Campanelli) plus each of us had dessert ( Mexican chocolate ice cream, sticky pudding and blueberry ice cream - all hand made). I’m a local resident and took my family here the weekend of Thanksgiving ! This is the best restaurant scene ever to happen in Salem! Can’t say enough great things about this establishment. Our waitress Martina was outstanding and so was our sommelier!
