   L'Express is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants these days. It has a nice French bistro vibe, and the service is attentive but not intrusive. It is classic French food, which I love. It can get busy and noisy on a Saturday night, but go early and miss the crowd. Highly recommend.

   The food was tasty and well prepared. It was very noisy- It was hard to have a conversation. A man at the next table knocked his chair over onto me. My big issue was that after and hour and 15 minutes, we were asked to leave for another party to have our table for two.

   Have been here several times over past 20 years. Food, ambience & service excellent! Only problem this time was the noise level. No acoustics & couldn't have a pleasant conversation. Unfortunate because it's a great place.

   Mostly empty restaurant and service was atrocious. Food was inedible (overdressed salad). This place used to be decent. Will not be returning.

   L’Express does fish well; the monkfish special is no exception. My dining companion’s lamb special was rubbery and hard to cut as well as to chew per his observations. The room was lively and noisy as per the holiday season. For dessert, the chocolate mousse cake was perfect, not too sweet. Great texture.

   Food is delicious. Best onion soup in NY. We have been coming here since it opened more than 20 years ago, and it only improves.

   Food is amazing and stellar service. Loud, cramped, lots of tourists. Try to get a booth against a wall.

    We enjoy the food and the atmosphere of L'Express. The service is fine. This was brunch which is very good and reasonable for the quality. What annoyed me about this request is that I had to go through double authentication to give an opinion. I almost just closed it out with a review. If authentication is for something I want or is important to me, authentication is OK. If it's something for you, double authentication is a nuisance and will reduce your responses unless I have a complaint. Personally, while brunches are very good, it's harder to get an excellent than it is for dinner. Thank you. I have no otherchanges to suggest as far as brunch. We will definitely be back.
