   My wife and I really liked it. Good food, fair prices, table clothes. We had no idea this gem was so close to us.

   The food and service is excellent including the front desk. The "tables for two" are nicely arranged, but larger groups are accomodated as well. The food was still hot when we received it which is great especially for fish dishes. Our server was very attentive and helpful with our requests. Try the Sea Bass!!

   It was restaurant week and we had a Seabass. Fabulous. The waitress was extremely attentive and helpful regarding the dessert choice. Can’t recommend this place enough. And it’s important to know that you can hear your dinner partner at this restaurant. That is often not the case in DC restaurants

   The perfect neighborhood Italian restaurant the food was excellent the service was great and it was not a terribly expensive restaurant for great food definitely go  eat there

   The food took nearly an hour to get to us; the young server was very kind and explained to us why—there was some issue with one of our orders. But it still took nearly an hour. And then my dish, the chicken cacciatore, was just not great. I think it needed more flavors or seasoning. It was pretty bland, although the chicken itself was nice and tender. It was also extremely noisy in there. All in all, not one of my best experiences at Lia’s, which I generally like a lot. Again, our server was wonderful and had a lot of people to deal with.

   Lia's had a terrific Restaurant Week lunch offering where you could choose virtually anything off the menu. The menu included an offering of wine or beer as an appetizer, which I have never seen before. I thought that was quite nice. The food was wonderful and the service -- top notch. The size of the tiramisu they served was huge. Cannot ask for more than that!
