About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Innovative
  • Great for creative cocktails
Award-winning Chef Juan Gomez, who helped República garner best new restaurant nods from Bon Appétit and James Beard, is taking a more personal approach to PNW cuisine. Recently nominated one of the Top 50 Restaurants in the Country by the New York Times, Lilia offers dishes like Pork Collar Confit and fresh Aguachile, leaning on Chef Juan's Mexican-American roots while showcasing hyper-seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The airy, unpretentious space and breezy patio befit the South Waterfront vibe.

Please note, our prices vary each week according to market price of local ingredients.

We offer a Chef's Selection menu that is a perfect meal for two. We also offer an a la carte menu.

Absolutely amazing place - just mind blowing dishes and flavors, we have been to many fine dine restaurants but haven’t had anything like this in my life before. Great presentation with amazing attention to detail, all the servers were so thoughtful and caring and wanting to go all the way to make tweaks in the menu to our liking and also make some great recommendations. My wife is a vegetarian and oh boy!! their vegetarian dishes just hit the ball out of the park. Portion sizes are great, we did a meal for 2 and we couldn’t finish the 1st dessert as were too full. chef Juan runs the savory and main course dishes and his wife does all the desserts so a dream team making delectable dishes for every palate. MUST MUST VISIT PLACE IF YOU WANT AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME !!

Outstanding "designer" plates. Many subtle and delicious tastes. Very personable owner/chef to boot. Not cheap however.

Amazing food. Each course was better than the last. The pork collar was melt-in-your-mouth. Would come back again.

The service is excellent but the atmosphere is not inviting. The food was good but it was not memorable. I don’t mind spending money on high quality food but this place was not worth it. It was nice to check it out once. There are so many amazing places in Portland and this one is not in my top 10 list.

Love this place, feels like the chef sold a large chunk of his soul to get this good at making things delicious and it was worth it. Wine pairings are perfect.

Wonderful experience all around - friendly, professional and attentive service that was clearly organized and intentional, but not pretentious. Creative and delicious food that was incredibly unique - I wanted to eat and enjoy it slowly as it was so good. Highly recommend!
