   The food and service was fantastic. The ambiance is almost there, being situated in a beautiful hotel, but it could be better inside. The views are nice if there weather is cooperating and I’m sure dining outside gives the atmosphere I was hoping for.

   This was a horrible experience -- and embarrassing as we had out-of-town guests. They brought us drinks, then asked for dinner orders, no mention of appetizers. We ended up with our pre-dinner drinks and a terrible dinner. The Oxtail was so greasy it was not edible. They never asked for a dessert order, coffee, nothing. We had looked forward to this visit with our guests, but the evening was ruined by an staff that paid no attention and food not worthy of the price. Needless to say we will never be back.

   Linwood Bar and Grill is a fun spot to have drinks and a meal. The view of the SF Bay and bridges is one of the best in the Bay Area. Their menu is solid and service is quite good. Perhaps re working the menu more often would be a good plan. Addition of fish and a few sandwich’s would be well accepted. I’ve come to the Claremont for over 65 years and it doesn’t disappoint, ever.

   One of four entree's arrived cold but was promptly replaced. Starters were good will likely pass on the Fritters next visit tho. It was a bustling and busy Friday so the wait for starters was shorter than for entree's which allowed us to talk and fully experience each starter. The drinks are always top their and so are the servers. We'll l be back on a slower day to enjoy a sunset view.

   The food was a bit of a disappointment. The pasta dish was essentially flavorless and the "side of French fries" was a plate of large roasted potato wedges.

   Waitstaff very responsive. Food came out of the kitchen quickly despite restaurant being almost full. Food quality and quantity excellent.

    Food was definitely not worth the price. 1 steak was cooked perfectly, one was charred on part of the outside but good inside, and the other one was prepared by a toddler. Brussels sprouts and potatoes were mediocre. Wine selection is basic and way overpriced. Pork belly was great. Rolls were basic.
