   Scotch Eggs are a rare find here, and they were so good. The Beef roast was delicious and perfectly cooked. For once I didn't have to ask for more gravy!

   We had the Sunday roast beef lunch. The beef was good quality and not overcooked, the roast potatoes were nicely crunchy, and the Yorkshire pudding was great. Wine and beer prices were reasonable. A very pleasant lunch overall.

   We love Lion and Wombat; it has become our local. The food is consistently excellent. Earlier booking is best on popular steak night, or you could be waiting a little longer than usual and some items may not be available.

   Great little pub/ restaurant with character and atmosphere. Food (we shared a selection of the smaller plates) was delicious and very reasonably priced. Happy hour cocktails were also great.

   Really good experience. I will say, turn around times on the table were quite short but also understandable as how busy it must be on a Sunday but when waiting for food to come out and the possibility of getting dessert, I would probably extend bookings by 30 mins. Also there was a double booking issue that nearly had us placed in the bar area, when specifically asked for restaurant. The host/manager sorted that for us promptly though - thank you so much. Food was amazing and good value for money. Desserts were great too! Hats off to the chefs and the front of house, that’s a busy shift! Will come back again!

   Fantastic food and great service. I'd advise a seat at the bar or beer garden as it can be very noisy in the restaurant if there's a large group.
