At The Lion and Wombat, we’re doing Christmas in July — British style with a two-course $64 set menu. Food and service were great! We had the roast, which was yum. Could maybe do with a larger serve of gravy but that’s about it - yum!

A British friend recommended the Lion & Wombat for a Sunday Roast and said they had one of the best in the city and I have to agree. The entire experience was great from the service, to the food, to the ambiance. Make sure to book and definitely add the cheesy cauliflower to your roast! Will be back again soon for sure!

Love this place! New find for us. Been back every week for awhile! The staff are unreal! Very helpful and accommodating, up for a laugh but leave you be when you need to get down to business (drinking, eating and gossiping). The food is yum. Great value, the English offerings are outstanding and everything we have had to date is tasty, well seasoned and decent in size! Loving the English style barrel program and of course, Guinness. No pretension with the staff and service. Dark, warm, inviting, great for date night and for fam and mates catch-ups. Can’t wait to try the Sunday Roast!!! Keep it up fam! Don’t change a thing! Ps the chippies are hands down the most delicious, how is every chip in the bowl so crispy! Fennel salt is a nice touch and goes down well with a beer! Can’t wait to try the fish finger buttie and scotch egg!

Scotch Eggs are a rare find here, and they were so good. The Beef roast was delicious and perfectly cooked. For once I didn't have to ask for more gravy!

We had the Sunday roast beef lunch. The beef was good quality and not overcooked, the roast potatoes were nicely crunchy, and the Yorkshire pudding was great. Wine and beer prices were reasonable. A very pleasant lunch overall.
