Enzo Rosano grew up in a town just outside of Naples, Italy. His fondest memories of his childhood are centered around his mother’s cooking and the spirited meals he shared with his eight siblings. Mama Carmela’s amazing cooking kept her children close to home throughout their childhood and young adulthood. Her culinary influence also played a role in Enzo’s decision to enroll in the Scuola Alberghieria Culinary and Hospitality program in Naples. Upon completion of his culinary training, Enzo landed a job as bartender at Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Vong’s in London. Next was a stop as bar manager at The Berkeley Knightsbridge, a luxury property also in London. When he came to the Bay Area, his first stop was in Half Moon Bay where he helped open one of the town’s most popular restaurants, Mezza Luna, with family friend, Roberto Giovanni. At Caffe Riace,Enzo joined his brothers and worked alongside them as they made plans to open AquaPazza in San Mateo in 2008

The food was delicious. We enjoyed the Diavola pizza, which was different than any pizza we ever had. The pasta special was also fantastic. The service was awesome. The main dining room and bar area were nice, but the restaurant felt disconnected with the different dining rooms which were empty on our visit there. Otherwise, we will be back for some great Southern Italian food.

Had a great meal. The fresh pasta was outstanding, best I’ve had since Prima closed in Walnut Creek. Service was friendly and attentive. Look forward to returning.

The food is always delicious, I have never had anything I didn’t enjoy. The service is also always excellent and I really love the ambiance!

Asked to be seated inside and the hostess saw that and still didn’t care and put us outside. Other than her everything was amazing!

Very good Frito misto appetizer. Excellent short ribs. The Dungeness crab fettuccini tasted a little like it came from a can or frozen -s o a disappointment. Excellent Tiramisu desert and focaccia bread served with olive tapenade and olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

The food was very good. Flavorful and authentic. Our table had the lasagna, sea bass and pasta with Italian sausage, mushroom and peas. Everyone was satisfied. The frito Misto was great as well. I did not like that they charged for bread (focaccia and Kalamata olive spread). I’m thankful we got a seat inside the resturant. They have large enclosed outdoor dining areas with heat lamps and blankets. But it was too cold this particular evening to even consider eating outside! However, I look forward to dining here again.

Best spot ever for a celebration! My birthday twin and I enjoyed a lovely quiet evening together while a cute family celebrating a young girls birthday together next to us! Menu and service is impeccable ALWAYS!

We usually love Locanda Positano but this time the service was very slow, both to get seated then for our food. It seemed as every table had a birthday which meant singing every few minutes. The food was delicious as always. We loved the meatballs and all of our entrees. Chicken marsala is my favorite!
