One of LA’s best Italian restaurants, Locanda Veneta aims to transport you to Venice, Italy. Where the freshest and often deceptively simplest ingredients are combined and cooked into art. The cozy room, often dotted with celebs, is elegant but there’s nothing fussy about the menu. Here you’ll find favorites such as a fresh-vegetable minestrone; wild mushroom risotto; and spinach and ricotta cheese gnocchi. Garlic, fresh herbs and olive oil dress many of the pasta, meat and fish dishes; and the veal scaloppini gets a different preparation every night. When an Italian spot is as classic as this, how can you skip a dessert of tiramisu? Our extensive wine list complements your meal, with selections mainly from Italy, France and California.

Best food and ambiance in the city. You won't be disappointed. A great place to grab a romantic meal and to bring guests from out of town, truly a special and delicious dining experience.

My wife and I had our first date here about 20 years ago and it even better today then it was then. Chef Gustavo has made the pasta dishes even better and the menu is a little more extensive. Portions are moderate to large and service is exceptional.

Every time I come to town I must go eat at Locanda Veneta. Everything is fresh and delicious. The waiters are extra helpful and accommodating. Tonight we had the opportunity to meet the owner. What a very kind man and wonderful chief. Delicious Italian food! I’ve never been disappointed !!

We ordered: Minestrone, Lasagna, Ribeye, Branzino, amaretto cheesecake, and glasses of white and rose recommended by our server. EVERY dish was perfectly seasoned and prepared. Our party of three was delighted with our selections. The wait staff was attentive, helpful, and personable. Locanda Veneta is one of our favorite spots!
