Lolita’s is a space where we can embody & celebrate the traditions passed down to us. We source our corn from Tamoa that works directly with small communities in Mexico for the freshest heirloom corn.We practice traditional methods of preparation, which increase nutritional value and create rich flavor. Such as nixtamalization, grain roasting, and whole grain milling.

    We were sat right by the door and it was very tight seating. Guests shuffled past our table and kept bumping into the back of our chair. With it being a holiday weekend it was extremely busy. We were greeted quickly and got drink orders but then asked if we wanted another round before we even got our first round. Ordered chips and salsa, and the waitress misinformed us which one was mild / hot so we were in for a surprise. Took a while for anyone to bus our table and when they did they did so in stages. The tacos were good, the beet salad was more so an overdressed arugula salad and it was missing the goat cheese. Overall mediocre food/ experience.

    Went with family after my graduation. Food was fantastic. Love that they make their own masa and tortillas. Aperol spritz wasn’t great but I had one of their margaritas after that and it was delicious. We were there 3 o’clock on a Saturday and it was busy. They even gave me a little complimentary bubbly with a candle to blow out, which was very thoughtful! P.S. the asada in my quesadilla was perfect!

    Fairly full house on a Monday night and most tables and booths were full. High energy vibe. Quick to be greeted & seated and waited on. The food was excellent. The flavors were awesome and everything was delicious. We skipped dessert because we were too full from our entrées and guac and tostada appetizer. All day Happy Hour prices were an added bonus for our beverages. We will definitely go to Lolita‘s again.

    I truly believe this is the best Mexican restaurant in Richmond and the surrounding areas. The homemade tortillas really make a difference, and I was particularly impressed by the tacos and the green posole—both were exceptional. The Margaritas, crafted with agave, were delightful and added a special touch to the meal. On top of that, the service was outstanding, which made the experience even better. I can't wait to return!
