   I had specifically requested a table by the piano in my reservation made several weeks before the evening. There’s an open table next to the piano when we arrive but we’re told by the very snippy host staff that we can’t sit there because in 45 minutes time they have the intent of pushing that table next to the 4 top by it for a larger party. So either that was poor table planning on their part or they just don’t care about requests or apparently there is a pecking order and only large groups can sit there? Disappointing start to the evening because the food and our waiter were good. They are keen to turn tables though and we felt rushed and had to ask twice to pause.

   This restaurant exceeded expectations! Right when we walked in the service was excellent. Our waiter was super attentive and quick. The food was some of the best Italian food I have had in Dallas, I would say even better than other popular chains. Lombardi’s is a gem in DFW. Definitely going back as soon as I can. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   The drinks, food and service were outstanding. There was a live piano player that we were seated near so it was a bit difficult to hear our conversation at times but it was still a great experience. One of the better meals we’ve had in some time. We’ll definitely be back

   We went here as a date night on a Saturday night. Reservation was 6:45 and it was a full house. Admittedly it started off a little disappointing because of where we were seated. All along the wall is booth seating and every spot was full. (So one side of the table is booth, other side is chair) We were seated at the end of that section so we had to sit beside each other at a corner angle. My husband was facing people as he looked at me and I was facing other people as I looked at him. AND the tables were maybe a foot & 1/2 apart so basically no privacy. Since it was fairly loud you needed to talk louder but really couldn’t because then the people beside you could hear your every word. It just was not ideal for a date night because you felt like you were sitting at a common table. The people beside us actually spoke to us a few times just because we were so close. (They weren’t rude at all and it was fine) but because of the seating situation it made it very “un date” like. The food was good and the service was good so no complaints there. Just personally if we’re going to go out to a nice place and spend what we spent I’m looking for date friendly. A relaxing sit and have dinner, wine and good conversation, (with each other) and this didn't hit those marks for us. I would go back for a group dinner event but not date night.

   We waited at the bar for our table. My husband ordered a drink he left cash on the bar since the bartender was no where to be found. She came over to our table and very rudely acted like we didn’t pay. Not only did he pay for his drink he left her a 50% tip and she acted like we walked on our bill. She should have come back to the table and said she got the money for the drink and thank you for a 50% tip we she definitely did not deserve that. She should also not be a bartender with that attitude. I am not one to give bad reviews, but this was beyond rude.
