Celebrating over 30 years of award winning classic & modern Italian cuisine! Owner Terry Antonelli believes in a warm and elegant approach to fine dining. Chef Walter Cotta shops at local farmer's and produce markets throughout the week to insure the best quality ingredients. Our pastas, raviolis, bread, sauces and desserts are homemade. His menu also includes a number of vegan and gluten free items that are sure to please all palates. For dinner or a private event, L'Opera is a must!

    Valet was right at the entrance but the cost was $15 when online it was stated $10. We got seated quickly and before our reservation time. Live music set the romantic tone for the Valentine’s weekend. Food was great. Busy weekend, so I understand the service not being as attentive than it can be.

    Alfredo was our waiter and he was lovely, helpful, and spot on! He was so wonderful in splitting our bill amongst the 13 of us. My husband and I had the lasagne. Oh my goodness... I've never had such delicious and perfectly made homemade lasagne noodles. It was light, but incredibly tasty!

    Celebrated post Valentine’s Day and they had a nice love singer . Very pleasant evening and atmosphere not to mention the food was great. The extra touch of rose petals on the tables was cute!

    The service was terrific. My date and I felt welcomed. The Shirley Temple drink was good, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely, and we enjoyed every minute of being there. I want to thank the waitress and the chefs for my special request and for making my new girlfriend happy. Thank you. I will come again!

    We have dined at L'Opera on special occasions and holidays over the years. We had dinner on Valentine's Day and the food was excellent as usual. However, the place was noisy and busy, the waiter messed up on the order, and there was a DJ playing music which was new to us. [They used to have an opera singer who came around singing a capella which was delightful.] Yes, I hope some of this was due to it being Valentine's Day.

    L'Opera has been a staple for the LB area for many years. I hadn't been there in such a long time, I was delighted to learn it was still in business. I reserved a birthday dinner for a very good friend who I travel with and dine throughout the Los Angeles county and San Diego area. The decor was just as I remember it but we were seated pretty far from the central area. Considering it was a Monday evening with few customers, it took some time for our waiter to service us , from the time of our arrival to receiving our dinner. It was a low activity period so I was very surprising that our service would be so slow. The waiter was very pleasant and accommodating when he came to our table. Just sharing that service was slow especially in light of it being a slow day/evening. Several long time residents wanted to know my experience and unfortunately, I would be able to share a very positive experience.

    This was our first visit and L'Opera was warm and inviting with fine food, excellent service and a bar area that was hopping and behind glass so you could see it and there was no noise from it
