Food was excellent and seasoned well. Pizza was a little greasy but was delicious. We didn’t like how cold the restaurant was and the doors to the bathroom didn’t lock.

Best craft cocktails and wood fired pizza in Middletown and the surrounding areas. Our group had the shrimp appetizer, pizza and the salmon dinner and of course the bread with the awesome olive oil dip.

Second time we ate at Lore and loved it both times! The “Airline Chicken,” braised short ribs, and wood fired mushroom pizza were fantastic, as were the cocktails (special shoutout for the espresso martinis). We shared the wood fired butter bread a la mode for dessert during our first visit and it was delicious but we passed on it the second time since we were full. Service both times was excellent—wait staff were friendly and responsive. In short Lore exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back again!

We have been to Lore on several occasions but last night was the slowest service we have experienced so far. We needed to ask for water all evening. It took 40 minutes to get the drinks we ordered from the bar. Vodka and Club, Bullit with a splash of water, dirty martini, and the polenator. The vodka and club came with no club, the bourbon came with too much water, the martini was only filled half way. We normally have more than one drink but after that we opted for no refills. Food was delicious and our server was lovely but the bartender fell short along with the support staff.

Sam was an outstanding server. Amanda made the best cocktail. The new fall menu is incredible — the gnocchi dish was a work of art. The wine list was impressive too!
