   The food was the best ever, especially the Greek Salad and the Lamb chops. The waiters and service were above and beyond wonderful! Everyone should visit this restaurant at least once a week.

   We stopped here for dinner while visiting relatives in LA. My brother likes the lunch special at Avra but we were too late for that. The outdoor seating area is cozy and charming and welcomes dogs. Our waiter was snooty in a partly comical, party critical way since my 80 year old brother had a lot of questions about Greek food. We had eaten a late lunch and our appetites were limited so we shared entrees. The $32 (!) house salad was delicious but quite small, mostly consisting of lettice, tomato, cucumber and scant grated cheese. The salmon entree was good, also small considering the price. Wines by the glass were very pricey- we decided to share a glass of Greek wine (over $25) which meant about 2 oz each but it had a lot of sediment so we only enjoyed about 1 oz each. The saganaki appetizer and the traditional moussaka were well executed. A bread basket was brought to our table which we hadn’t ordered so we assumed it was complimentary but were charged $5 for the uninteresting sliced baguette and some dried up pita. Compared to Kokkarii, which is the premiere elegant Greek restaurant in San Francisco, this place doesn’t cut the mustard and is less friendly, more expensive and less inviting in ambience.

   A True Taste of Greece – Unforgettable Dining Experience! If you’re looking for an authentic Greek restaurant that delivers on flavor, ambiance, and impeccable service, look no further! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that made us feel like part of the family. The food was absolutely phenomenal—each dish bursting with the rich, traditional flavors of Greece. The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a fantastic dining experience. Our server took the time to explain the menu, recommend dishes. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with Greek music playing softly in the background, rustic décor To top it all off, we were treated to a complimentary dessert—homemade baklava that melted in our mouths. This is hands down one of the best Greek restaurants we’ve ever visited. If you want a truly authentic Greek dining experience, don’t miss this gem! Highly recommended!

   We come here at least once a month. We love being greeted by Costa who takes such good care of us. Our favorites are the octopus and the zucchini chips. This time around I had guests from France who go to Greece every summer. They were very pleased with the atmosphere and the food.
