Within a beautiful Subiaco heritage building, a new neighbourhood wine bar has entered the scene on Hay Street. In the 1920s, the building was home to a provisions merchant owned by husband and wife Emily and Charles Lums. Their shop, EA Lums & Co, was a place for locals to grab quality ingredients from a family-owned shop.

With the appointment of Nick Young as Head Chef, Lums offers a brand new, vino-friendly food offering.

Nick’s resume boasts a wonderful mix of fine dining and funky neighbourhood eateries including Wildflower, Must, Bivouac and Lallah Rookh. With extensive time spent working in rural luxury resorts and Margaret River wineries, Nick brings a passion for fresh, local produce, heirloom varieties, preserving and fermentation.

    Awesome location, sitting alfresco eating great food and sipping lovely wine! Service was spot on! Making Lums a weekly stop whether it be for a vino or tapas. You must do the same!! #awesome

    We had the steak, burrata and salmon and all were absolutely standout ! Incredible food, service and ambience. One of the best places in Perth right now.

    Waited 35 minutes for a drink. Had to walk to the bar to order food. They bought the sides out after 40 minutes, then took another 30 minutes for the pasta to come out. All over the shop. food was good but won’t be returning.

    Food, service and of course the wines were fantastic! All of us enjoyed the Fiesta menu, very accommodating of dietary requirements, so much variety and all super tasty! Finished off with a beautiful port! Highly recommend!
