Our dinner experience couldn't have been worse.
The restaurant was full with two large birthday dinner celebrations but it appeared there were only two kitchen staff working. We arrived at 7PM for our booking, ordered our meals around 7:15PM, it wasn't until 9PM that we received our main meals. For it to take nearly 2 hours is completely unacceptable, regardless if the restaurant was full or not. A small bit of planning could have avoided this complete disaster, rostering on additional kitchen staff or even preparing a set menu for the large dinner party's so its easier for the kitchen but this did not occur. It was evident there were other tables who were left waiting hours for their food as well.
Our experience was made worse by children who were allowed to run throughout the restaurant without any intervention from parents or restaurant staff. This showed a complete disregard for other members of the public who were hoping to enjoy a peaceful night out.
When the food did arrive it was so disappointing, the steak was chewy to the point it was almost inedible and the chips were soggy like they had been left sitting on the counter. When you're paying a premium for main meals (around $50) you expect the food to be of a decent quality, this was not the case.
The restaurant staff did their best to apologise for the long wait and were offering complimentary drinks and dessert but this was about as good as the evening got.
It so disappointing to have a local restaurant charging a premium for their food but serving up such poor quality. If you're looking for a decent, well priced meal then this is not the place.

We want to clarify that all guests were advised about the large booking that evening and encouraged to order early to avoid delays and no bookings were taken from 7:30pm onwards because of the big group. We provided an alternative seating option in the lounge area for a quieter environment.
Regarding the food, we apologize for not meeting your expectations, and I will pass your feedback along to the chef.
I want to assure you that we have already implemented measures to improve our service during busy evenings, including increased staffing and did a pre-order for large parties.
