MAHANIYOM is a tapas/family-style Thai cuisine that brings an exceptional dining experience
to our guests by serving meticulously home-cooked style, authentic Thai cuisine made from
scratch and handcrafted cocktails in an unpretentious feel-like-home atmosphere that
reminisces our home Thailand. Walk-ins welcome. Reservations are available 30 days in advance. We are very small, we highly recommend reservations during peak hours! Reservations and dine-in guests are designated up to 90 minutes. If you are running late, please call us at (617) 487-5986. We hold the table up to 15 minutes past the reservation time.

From the OpenTable editors: Part neighborhood cocktail den, part tapas restaurant, this buzzy hotspot from Shōjō alum Chompon Boonnak does some of the city’s most exciting Thai food; Boston Magazine named it the city's best Thai restaurant in 2023. You won't really want to skip anything on the shareable menu, but the beef panang and crab fried rice are non-negotiable. Cocktails like the Sazerac with Thai tea-infused rye are equally top-notch, and the cozy, rustic space with exposed-brick walls is for lingering.

Our wait staff seemed in love with what they do, had an infectious brightness. Excellent food and drink recommendations. The ambience in the place is what I'd call very cozy. It's not that big, but bustling everywhere. Still, it's a vibe. Off in the background the bartenders are singing whatever 2000s pop song they're blasting at the moment. It's great carefree energy if you're up for it. Food was delicious and came out in perfect timing. Drink menu was extensive and not at all familiar for I think most Americans -- which I love! Give me something refreshingly different! They even gave us free shots with our check and kindly hoped we enjoyed ourselves and that they'd love to see us again. Restaurants like this deserve your business. When there's care and intent in every aspect of what they do, it's hard to not enjoy yourself. Will most certainly be back!

Not our favorite. We ordered pescatarian/vegetarian friendly food. The drinks were great and quite different from what we typically have. We found the food to be heavily seasoned with cilantro, which was surprising and kind of overwhelming. The food wasn't for us, and we weren't sure why it is on so many lists.

The food is reallly some of the best in Boston and the service is great. We came last night with our in laws from out of town and the hostess came to say hi and ask how we were and was so kind to my mother. We love this restaurant and will be sure to come back.

The worst experience and extremely bad service ever. The service misunderstood the number of the guests, without trying to solve the problem, she tried her best to blame the guests, and said “ you should not book the table online, you should call 🙄” The worst service ever, she even showed extremely insolent attitude. I will never recommend this restaurant and won’t go there any more!
