    Lived up to its hype! Loved the fish sandwich and the brunch menu. Amazing views and being right by the fire ravaged old town area, its a somber reminder of what beautiful Lahiana used to be and will become again soon. Food and service were stellar, will definitely come back again. Lahaina strong. Maui strong.

    Mala is on the ocean but outside seating is very limited. The burger is terrific. The fish sandwich is great but better when they have Mahi Mahi. Breakfast foods are great. All portions are large! Beer selection is good and specialty cocktails look great. Servers are all very, very nice.

    As always, a gorgeous setting with friendly service and good food. China was a fantastic server, and the view of turtles surfing the waves can’t be beat. Glad they have reopened and will continue to visit whenever we come home to Maui.

    We had the seared Ahi bruschetta, magherita flatbread and coconut shrimp for appetizers and then the Wagyu burger, fish of the day(mahi mahi) and avocado salad with fish for the entrees. All the dishes were awesome made for a memorable anniversary lunch. The ambience was lovely too.

    We got seated really quick. The food was good. But the service wasn’t good. No one check on us and refill our water. But they refilled the table next to us. It felt like we didn’t exist.

    This place was recommended to us by regular Maui vacationers we know and I can see why. We were greeted with Champaigne for our anniversary and the service was solid, if not super attentive. It is very busy and loud, but in a bustling energetic way that makes it fun - just don’t go in expecting a quiet dinner. It is feet from the beach on the edge of the area devastated by the fire in Lahaina. My Mahi Mahi was served in a delicious broth - seasoned well and topped with pickled ginger which was surprising and delicious. My wife had the steak which was also excellent. My wife had the Ube bang bang Cocktail and it was oddly delicious, sort of milk shake like. Overall a great experience.

    Mala is simply one of the best restaurants in Maui. The food and drinks are consistently great. We have been here a number of times prior and it never ceases to disappoint. We would note the oyster shooters and ube bread as appetizers that started things off great. I had the fresh catch and my wife had the pork shank-they were paired excellently with vegetables and sauce that was off the hook. The cocktails are always super solid and their mai tai is awesome. Kudos and shout out to their sister restaurant Coco Deck-we stopped for drink prior to dinner-the staff is awesome and cocktails very well done. We are so glad that these two are back in full swing with the spirit of Lahaina in everything that they do.
