What an excellent brunch! Nashville "Hot" (means fried, not spicy hot) Chicken was perfectly fried - crunchy on the outside, tender and moist and flavorful on the inside. The foie gras-duck jus along with the malted waffle and maple syrup added a mix of savory and sweet sauces to just melt in our mouths... ahhhhh. So so good. The Carolina Country Breakfast did not disappoint, although serving it in a very large bowl-like plate was a little off-putting - but certainly did not lower the ratings for taste and flavors. Beers, cocktails, martinis were perfectly brewed and crafted. OH! And the Autumn Greens salad was amazing - a mix of crunch, nuts, seeds, fruit, blue cheese, with endive which I love - and a flavorful light dressing. One of the best salads I've had in quite a while. Service was attentive, friendly. Nicely renovated dining area and bar. Overall we were so glad we tried Mallard and will be back!!!

Mallard has become a regular of mine. The food is quite good, much more imaginative and... inspired compared the previous restaurant in this space. Beer list is fantastic. I am hooked on this Hefeweizen with a hint of ginger that I've never found anywhere else. And reasonably priced ($9 for a sixteen ounce can). Fried Oysters are amazing, and I'm not a big seafood guy. Tried the steak tartare for the first time last night and was very impressed. That and a beer filled me up to the extent that I got dinner to go. My server was excellent, despite having several tables. I want to say her name was Charlotte but can't remember for sure. Highly recommend this place!!

Fantastic creative menu for both food and drinks. There was nothing that I ate that I didn’t love! I can’t even pick one thing that was my favorite. Can’t wait to eat here again!
