Been going to this restaurant for >15 years. Would go out of our way to eat and have key lime pie-blueberry. This year it was not good at all between service, food and unfortunately key lime pie....didn’t have blueberry and regular key lime was not good. Not going to visit in future.

Not usually a negative reviewer. We are a family of 6 (4 adults, a teen and a 7 year old). We placed our dinner orders at the same time. Our meals were brought out so far apart that half our family was completely done eating before the other half even got their food. No exaggeration. Won’t even mention the additional minute issues.

We stopped by this place for supper and it was the perfect Keys vibe we were looking for. Great food, perfect atmosphere and awesome live music .

Mangrove Mama’s is one of our favorites in the keys for years. We hadn’t been back since the restaurant received new ownership and it showed there was a major difference. Everything had been changed...from drinks to sauces to food. It was so different we asked our waitress if there was new management or ownership and sure enough she explained they had changed hands after the hurricane. The value for food was not good and the quality was not amazing. We won’t be going back. We are upset to see one of our favorite local spots go.

Unfortunately we had a poor experience there. Not only did our server not know the menu, but we also had a rat, who was unafraid of people, keep popping up near our table. The conch chowder was good, but the other food was below average. Due to the rat, we got a 10% discount.

I felt some pressure from the waiter to make me leave the table, and the place was on 1/4 of capacity, so i don't know the real reason for that.
