   We had a party of five with a child, so we needed to ask how many of each item was in any given dish when ordering. They also changed the menu from what was online at the time of reservation. Our server was patient and accommodating as we went through the amazing new menu, and we couldn't have asked for a better New Year's Eve birthday experience!

   Went to the Manhattan Room on New Years Eve. The Server was very helpful. However the NYE Specials were not available when we tried to order. Apparently the chef wasn't ready in time to offer the specials until after we ordered. They opened at 4PM and we ordered at 6PM. The specials weren't availablle until after 6:30. Overall the food was OK, not great. Portions are small and the drink I ordered wasn't very strong at all. For a place that advertises with martini glasses on its logo, they ave no martinis on the menu. I was unimpressed and it was definitely not worth the prices.

   Tapas is a fun choice for date night, but the flavor of the small plates needs to be spot on for the value to be there, which it was not. We started by being told that 3 of our choices were unavailable. With a small menu at 6:30pm that seems pretty odd. We ended up with the bacon wrapped dates, poke nachos, tuna tataki, and oyster mushroom bao bun. The bacon wrapped date plate had the best flavor of the 4 small plates. The tuna tataki was medium and lacked much flavor. For dessert we ordered an apple/pear crisp and ice cream. It arrived without the ice cream and was served after we asked about it. Our curved booth was comfortable and great ambiance for a date night. We had to ask the host to turn down the music so that we could talk without yelling. I do not think we will going back, food quality and service were average at best. Wish it were better as the location is great and we can always use a good restaurant in the north end of Colorado Springs.

   Loved the live music. What a treat! 3-4 small plates for a couple is perfect and the cocktails were fabulous.

   Party of 5 celebrating my son’s birthday and I deliberately got a reservation at 5 on Friday to take advantage of the 1/2 price small plates/cocktails. We loved almost every single bite! We ordered another round of lamb ribs and bison meatballs because they were so yummy. The XO sauce on the scallops is not good. We had the special cocktail (apple butter manhattan) which didn’t disappoint and the Pardon My French which never disappoints. We enjoyed the prawns, empanadas, croquettes, poke nachos and bacon wrapped dates. The paella was superb if not authentic. We had the sticky pudding and the crisp; both were mediocre. The service was slow, but we were not in a hurry so it was okay.

   Addie was a great server and the live jazz was a nice touch, although they did not play as long as we thought.

   Staff was untrained with how they handled reservation and food and food service. Music was too loud for hardly anyone there. Ribs had so much fat that was soggy. I had to ask the waitress to remove the plate. Obviously she didn’t care. She did state the food would come out slowly which came too fast and items were overcooked like the meatballs and shrimp. It is supposed to be a tapas bar, not a restaurant that was loud that you couldn’t hear across the table. Even a birthday group arrived after us and left 40min before our table. Took way too long for a cup of water. Will never return to this overpriced undertrained staff again. Thank you.

   We had a great evening at Manhattan Tapas. This was our first time dining there. We loved the small and intimate seating/setting of the restaurant. It was very nice to have been able to hear each other during dinner and being able to enjoy the musician playing as well. We were pleasantly surprised with how great the food was. Excellent portion sizes for tapas! It was a lovely evening. We will definitely be back!
