   Amazing 5* service. They attend to you well, as you'd expect from a high end restaurant. The food all tasted good but I wasn't blown away. The best item I'd say was my 16oz prime Rib steak special but it costs $98! I was shocked when I got the bill. It was delicious but certainly not a cut worth that cost. The Mahi Mahi crusted fish was also very good. One very nice surprise wad they offered a reasonable kids menu. The view was also fantastic but unfortunately the mantas were not visiting that night due to the high waves. That was the biggest disappointment. I don't blame the restaurant though. It was certainly out of their control.

   A hard hat should have come with our table. Because they sat us by a construction wall and we had our reservations over a month in advance

   We had a lovely dinner on the covered patio. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about items on the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine and after a few minutes, the waitress came back and said that bottle was out of stock but that the manager recommended a different bottle. He came to the table , introduced himself and talked to us about the new wine selection and why he chose it for us. We had a mixed green salad that was a special item and some oysters with a delicious mignonette. I had the Ahi recommended by our server and my husband ordered the Hawaiian catch. However, when our meals came, my husband got the wrong entree-the macadamia crusted mahi mahi-which he enjoyed . We didn’t bring the error to anyone’s attention. The Bombe Alaska was a delicious dessert.

   We knew before we went that the hotel is undergoing a major rebuild. Manta was lovely upon arrival. Nice bar with some vintage live music. Menu was broad. We split main entree special - the Hawaiian Sea Bass. Excellent. Scallop ravioli was very good not great. They are clearly having staff issues our server was very friendly not very attentive. We will be back after the renovation and try it again!

   From the arrival to departure it was a majestic experience! I choose fresh fish and loved the fresh taste! Burrata fresh salad with papaya… Cocktails are made to perfection and the waves and view spectacular👏👏🌴☀️a must on the Big Island❤️

    We have been here several times, and the food is always excellent. However, this time the service wasn't very good. The waitress wasn't very attentive. The server was more helpful than she was. We had to ask the server to have the waitress come to our table so we could order wine. I included in the reservation that it was my wife's birthday, and the hostess acknowledged it but the nothing was done for her after we were seated.
