   Place has gone down hill. Food took 2.5 hours and server had a terrible attitude. Was also given the table next to us bill instead of ours. Pass

   Maple & Ash was a beautiful restaurant when it opened. The ambience and service were impeccable and it had a welcoming atmosphere for all adult ages. To celebrate my birthday and our 47th wedding anniversary we invited friends to join us. The noise level was low enough so that we could enjoy conversation along with the excellent starters we ordered. Then, without warning the music was turned up to a feverish pitch so loud that it forced us to yell to be heard. We asked Michael to have it lowered just until we finished. He said ok but did nothing and no apologies. Other restaurants have happily accommodated if their noise level became that uncomfortable due to the music. The customers in the room were not loud until the music was blasted and they too were forced to raise their voices. Also, there was no comped dessert for a double celebration. For the prices charged and the small portions served, this restaurant is not respectful of an older crowd who want a leisurely and elegant dining experience even though the food preparations and service are quite good. Very disappointing to say the least.

   The night was wonderful. The service was very attentive and amazing. The only thing that dampened the night. I asked to have my steak boxed up and they didn’t put it in the bag. All the sides were there but my steak was not

   One of the finest restaurants in the valley and it was fantastic once again. Previously we had done the pre-fixed menu several times and this time elected the ala cart. Everything was exceptional - filet, NY strip and a pasta dish is to die for - delicious. The sides in particular were amazing. We had aug gratin potatoes, mac and cheese and asparagus. Perfectly done. The service was top notch as usual as well. Formal and precise with good personality without being stuffy. We shared the chololate souffle and it was also other worldly. M&A is always a spectacular experience.

   This is our second time going to Maple and Ash and I can honestly say this time was very disappointing. The service was lackluster, the pace of the food was not great, several times we had empty water glasses on our table and empty drink glasses. We had to wait 15 minutes at the end of the meal just to get our bill, even when people that we were dining with had already left.  we did the pre fix meal and to be honest the food was OK, but I felt like we were pushed to a corner and basically forgotten about. With the money you spend on the pre fix meal I would’ve thought that the service would have been a little bit more attentive.

   Had a problem with kitchen and allergy request. Not only did the entree come out wrong with gluten under the meat, after sent back, was replated with cross contamination. While I waited for the correct entree, my husband ate. Ruined our dining experience.

   Having been at another Valley steak house the night before we had a standard in mind. The menu was nice and the food was great. The prices were a bit high even for Old Town and the service was just okay. We felt like our server got disappointed when we weren’t the high spending table he hoped for. All things considered it was a goon night.
