   Everything was done well. I couldn’t fault the Sunday roast. I think it is the best food they serve at marneys. Burger is also very good. With the roast you do get a good size portion of everything. The quality is very good too. Excellent!

   We are a group friends who all used to work together 25 years ago. We meet up for a meal at Marneys about 5 or 6 times a year. We used to eat in each others homes but about 8 years ago we started going to Marneys. The Manager here is brilliant, the service is really good and the food is excellent. We love the Crispy Lamb Pancakes and Halloumi bites. This time the Scampi, Burger and Pie were all enjoyed. I really recommend it.

   The food was delicious and the service exceptional. It is obviously very popular with the locals and dog friendly. Although it was far too cold to sit outside when I was there the garden is huge and a lovely place to be in the warmer weather.

   Friendly village pub with excellent food and service. The main course portions are on the large size and think they could reduce them and maybe their prices slightly. The diners would probably then order desserts if they had room left after eating the main course and maybe increase the pub’s income.

    What a find this place is. Although we have lived in the area for over 30 years, it is only in the last couple we have discovered Marneys - and it is superb! The ambience is a cross between an old fashioned pub and a small restaruant and the decor works perfectly for either of those wishes. On the day we went it was incredibly busy, post Christmas, and this added to the atmosphere but also meant service was very busy too. The staff are excellent at helping you feel very welcome, however rushed they are, and we will be returning to add to that hectic-ness! The food was excellebt - we fet the starters worked particularly well on this occasion and found the burgers a bit lacking in flavour - no idea why that would be - but we like it so mich we will try again! They don't take online bookings for Sundays - so you will need to ring to secure a table! That is how good they are!
