   The food was great especially the steak and Guinness Ale pie one of the best I’ve tasted. I was surprised at the price of a glass of Prosecco £9.95! This is excessive when you can buy a bottle for £8. The staff are not over attentive had to get there attention to order another drink and serviette which was not placed on the table appropriately, service just needs some polishing and they would achieve 5 stars.

   Excellent service and food that puts more pretentious "boutique" establishments in the locality to shame. Excellent value

   This was the first time we have eaten here and we were very impressed. There is very limited parking at the pub. There is a set menu option which is great value and the dishes are mostly the same size servings as the main menu options. I started with the arancini which was slightly different to what I was used to as they were in batter but very nice anyway. I then had the burger on the set menu and the only difference was it didn’t include onion rings, no great loss for me. The burger came with a good sized portion of fries. Finished it all off with the homemade sticky toffee pudding, very yummy. My wife only had a main course of homemade chilli which was a good sized portion and very tasty, not as hot (chilli hot) as she likes but still very tasty. Service was pleasant and quick, so overall we were very happy with the visit and will definitely go back.
