Massimo's has been a Fremont destination and landmark since opening in 1976. The name Massimo's is not only the middle name of our late founder but also means “great”. The food, service and atmosphere is the passion of owner Bill Rinetti Jr. We strive to create a cuisine that is fresh, seasonal and prepared with great care and also include some of our classical preparations including our Caesar Salad which is made in the dining room. The fare is American with bits of Italian influences. We have been featured on KQED "Check Please Bay Area".

Be sure to save room for one of Massimo's Flaming Desserts that have become one of our signature preparations.

    Came for my birthday. The food was great - we had calamari, minestrone soup, pork chop and rigatoni ala Massimos. Everything tasted perfect. The pork chop was moist and cooked just nice! Service was efficient. Will definitely come again.

    Food was delicious! I particularly liked the fact that they allowed you to eat each course at a leisurely pace with the food being the perfect temperature when served. Everyone from the hostess to the waitstaff was extremely professional. A wonderful dining experience!

    Great experience with excellent table service for our Caesar salads and drinks and food. The wait staff were great and engaging. It was a good time for a business dinner.

    Went here for a birthday. Everyone (5 people) enjoyed their food. The pork chop was delicious even though it's not smoked. The dessert was nothing special. Got charged double for the Caesar salad because they split the salad, which wasn't cool, but I didn't feel like causing a scene so I chose to just pay the extra $15 or so and enjoyed the night and the company. They did waive the corkage, so there you go, sometimes it's better to accept and not argue or complain. Cheers!

    Our experience dining at Massimos has always been a great place to get good food and excellent service. There are some signs of scaling back with some smaller portions, higher corkage fee and waiver of fee when purchasing a bottled wine list option. They do offer a $25 birthday dinner if you join the mailing list.

    We had a great time with another couple who had never been to Massimo's. The meatball appetizers were very tasty. We all had different entrees and each enjoyed the meal. Great wine list (and we chose well). Dessert was cheesecake all around with cappuccinos. The cheesecake melted in our mouths. We really appreciated that we could talk and easily hear one another. The service was impeccable. We already booked another dinner at Massimo's.

    We had our Wedding Reception here in October of 2012 and we came to celebrate our 12th Wedding Anniversary. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was very delicious and the service was excellent.

    We had a group of 8 adults. Dinner was fine. No surprises. Although one of the guests was surprised to see the size of flat lasagnas! The place was not busy when we arrived. Waited for 10 minutes before our server came to introduce herself. Took another 10 minutes for her to come back and get our drink order. After we got our drinks, took a good 15 minutes for her to come back and the appetizer order. Dinner took 45 minutes from the time we ordered. We needed more wine and nowhere to find the server. I’ve been there several times. Food is always good and the same but service is not always on par.
