   Overall good My only criticism is the hostess stand who wanted to put us at the worst table for no good reason We ended up eating at the bar which was fine but it was an odd choice on their part

   They were really busy so a lot of the services we did not get (I.e. the crumb clean). Our server was good but totally overworked as she had one section to herself so we waited quite a while to get drink orders, food orders. The greeting was not the best either. For as high as the check was we just expected better service and quality. The butter cake was amazing though.

   Hervorragendes Restaurant. Essen Spitze, Weinauswahl spitze, wenn auch meines Erachtens teils viel zu überteuerte Preise, und ein aufmerksamer Service. Der Geräuschpegel war aber wirklich sehr hoch. Dazu hat sicher die ziemlich laute Weihnachtsmusik seinen Beitrag geleistet. Alles in allem finde ich sind die Preise etwas sehr hoch. Im vergleich hätten wir in der Schweiz keine 400 Frankem dafür bezahlt. Aber ich würde trotzdem gerne wiederkommen!

   Very bad and poor service for everyone single food and even beverage we waited long time and remained to server. We came from CA and chose the place based on reviews. And because this place known as steak house we all ordered steak and it was worse steak we ever tried. Even we my son ordered wagyu which it’s his favorite steak and he didn’t eat after first bite. I don’t recommend this place at all.

   It was a great experience. The only small thing. We were seated in the back originally. I mentioned we were celebrating something. Back in the day there was a card on table. None this year. There was a lamp on the table but it was off. It was dark and quiet. I asked to be reseated where the live music was playing near the bar. It was my friend first time and she said EVERYTHING was flavorful. The one bartender male I think bald head service was good. The lady short care simply did the job. Thanks again.

   Hello, I do not usually leave reviews, but this time it felt wrong not to do it. We celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday at Mastro’s in DC. The food was good, but there was a lack of presentation and each dish felt a bit “copy and pasted”. Otherwise, I cannot deny the meat is excellent and that really was the best part. The issues began when the service took around 20 minutes and a reminder to bring the bread. The drinks took around 35-40 minutes to arrive at the table and the waiters were difficult to get ahold of. The restaurant also called in advance for my girlfriend’s name, but seemed to forget her name at the time they brought the dessert out, so it just said nothing. We normally wouldn’t have noticed this, but the waiter made a mistake and gave us the dessert of the party next to us (also sharing a birthday) with the wrong name on it then gave us ours without a name at all. Overall the experience was surprisingly “bumpy” and we really did hope for more especially at this price point, which would have gone much further at any other steakhouse in the area. Service should be the bare minimum and unfortunately it left us talking about it after we left on her birthday. I’m not sure we will return to Mastro’s and I do understand its appeal as a brand. Regardless, this should not be a reason to allow this service, especially when tips alone often range at a minimum 50 dollars and up.
