   The experience couldn’t have been better, well maybe only if part of the lamb didn’t come out rare when we ordered medium haha. But the staff was such a joy to have waiting on us and the night felt really special. Definitely the best Mastros location in Arizona

   Busy night so service staff was being tested. Bussers would amazing and did a great job with bread and water. Wait staff was AWFUL. Never got specials but heard other tables be told what they were. Obnoxious table of 8 next to us (not much that can be done) that my table of 2 had trouble talking to one another. Food was very good but highly doubt I’ll return which is too bad since it was a family favorite for quite some time.

   Not sure what it takes to get a table in a decent area of the restaurant I made a reservation months in advance. We were both dressed elegantly for New Year’s Eve and got shown to a table just about in the parking lot. I complained and asked for a different table and was told not available unless I waited for 90 minutes longer. Two very noisy tables beside us for the entire length of the mail there

   For a six hundred dollar meal for a family of four I would’ve expected more. My dinner drink was empty for over a half an hour. Dirty dishes sat in front of us for twenty five minutes, maybe even longer. We sat for quite a long time waiting for a dessert menu and then our check as well. Very disappointing experience. The only consistency was our water glasses were filled often. Our server was friendly but not present at all. That’s a shame for such an expensive meal. Not a good experience at all. We won’t be back.

   The server, Austin was excellent. Martinis were outstanding Oysters, great, but the shucker, did an adequate job on the small ones. Just get the bigger ones. Potato dish, good. Then it turns awful. The Brussels sprouts were charred completely, they were burnt to the center. Ordered a 40 oz. Bone in Australian wagyu steak. If it was 40 oz ever, that would amaze me. At best 24 oz. The meat was charred completely, not cooked anymore near acceptable. As an FYI, we go out to eat often, will never go back there for a meal. Would go for drinks. Do not recommend at all for a meal. The last time i went was there was shortly after it opened in 1999. It was totally amazing. Of course, then it was privately owned. Now it’s corporate, and it appears all the corp is interested in, is more profits. Not giving their customers what they should. Do not go there for more than drinks.

   We went to Mastros on Christmas Eve. The place was packed. But everything went perfectly. All great food - everything we ordered and every side dish. Even the drinks were excellent. And the service was perfect. We live not far away and had never been to this Mastro’s before. But we will be back.

   I've been Mastros a few times and I have always loved it but they really outdid themselves this time. I'll be back in February

    Great Christmas dinner our tradition is to go to Mastros We didn't get our reserved booth in the bar as table turnover was a little slow
