   First time here for New Years Eve dinner with my husband. We had last minute plans and made a reservation on open table. They had one spot left & we are so glad it worked out. It’s a darker atmosphere and surprisingly with it packed it was quiet. Service was a little slow, just assuming because it was NYE so gave them grace. We definitely ordered too much food. I think one protein and two sides would have been plenty. It’s expensive, but worth your buck. You actually get a lot of food - where in opposite situations we would spend $60 on a protein and get a small portion or $16 on a side and get two pieces of something. Starters: cauliflower fritters. This is a very large portion and deep fried so keep that in mind it was filling. The garlic aioli was the star of that plate. French onion soup - delicious. Large crock filled with the best broth, onions, bread and cheese. Very hot in temperature - let cool a little before diving in. Main Dish: 10oz Filet Mignon - asked for it medium rare - came out perfect. I was thrilled with this, as usually my steaks are overcooked. Lobster Mac & Cheese - amazing! You get a whole lobster tail on top of the mac and large cubed pieces of bacon. We honestly contemplated ordering an extra lobster tail and have them chop that up in the mac (next time) id rather have more lobster than bacon (in my opinion) 10/10 on all dishes we had. Waitress was very kind, bubbly & knowledgeable. The whiskey menu was as big as a phone book…. Ask your server to see it! Seating was comfortable & spacious. They also have a large bar & waiting area by the fireplace. It’s a must see & I suggest you go have a drink or dine in & enjoy a great date night or even a night out with friends. Like I said… pricey but they give you what you pay for. Great food I would pay anything for. It’s hard to find in our area. Thanks Matchsticks for a great NYE dinner that I didn’t have to prepare for once!

   The food was very good all four of us had something different. Good cocktail menu. It’s a cozy place to go on a winter day. I prefer going for lunch as it’s a bit quieter.

   The food and service was AMAZING!! Our waitress was very knowledgeable about food allergies. I have Celiac disease, a severe gluten allergy. She advised me on my options, even considering cross contamination. We will definitely be going back. And I can’t wait!!

   Very nice ambience. Feels cozy and inviting on this cold winter night. I ordered the crab cakes and a salad they were delicious. Our group all had a good time and excellent food.

   Quiet Sunday during Thanksgiving weekend was a different kind of experience is the normally packed location. Same great casual food and big drink menu.

   Our server was upbeat and helped explain menu options and how to expect our plates to be served. The food was exceptional. The manager checked in several times to see how our evening was going. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had and I highly recommend it!

   Matchstick is our first stop for dinner when we fly in from Colorado. The food is fresh and delicious. Noah always picks the best wine for us and makes us feel like family!

    We had a reservation at 6PM, arrived at 5:45; several tables left and were replaced with several walk-ins without rez seated before us. We were seated in front of non-functional fireplace and in the view of hostess, by 6:25 my friend inquired to the male manager finally, (who never even smiled or greeted us for the 25 minutes milling around us). The hostess had the deer in the headlight look when he asked her about our group of 4. Finally, we were seated at a table that had been empty behind us the whole time. Server was good, but not great. (She had been walking past us non-stop in lobby and never once offered us drink service while we did see another couple with drinks served to them by her). Personable, but not super attentive. Prices are very high and portions small. The Post-it note size Sea bass was delicious, and should be for almost $30. No sides included. Brussel sprouts were good. Cute, cozy loud environment. Great for early HH I’m told.
