Max is an acclaimed Italian restaurant that serves soul satisfying, authentic food with a warm welcome. It originally opened in 2000 in Alphabet City and a few years ago moved to Tribeca. What started as a small place to eat became a many time award winning restaurant and the go to place for consistent high quality food at reasonable prices in an inviting setting.

                                                                    The restaurant was very good and the staff was friendly. They were accommodating when I needed to modify the reservation to add additional people. Definitely will come back when I'm in NYC.

                                                                    Looks nothing like the pictures. Rushed service. Starters came out before we had ordered wine. Tasteless food without salt and pepper. Mains came out cold. Sent it back for a replacement, got the same dish reheated and luke warm. Overall stay away.
