   Beautiful decor (especially with the Christmas decorations). Seated immediately - we had reserved a table for an early dinner and were the only guests at that time. Waiter was very personable and helpful regarding menu items. We ordered 2 drinks and were very disappointed: Not a lot of bang for your bucks, so to speak. Way too pricey for what we received. Minuscule amounts compared to what other fine dining establishments serve. Food was excellent, however. Ahi tuna, scallops, and side of lobster mac & cheese. All delicious and expertly plated. Dessert was turtle cheesecake and a large portion at that! Scrumptious! All in all, a pleasant experience. We do believe improvements in alcoholic beverages/cocktails are needed. One other suggestion is to serve some sort of bread (rolls, breadsticks, assorted muffins, mini baguettes, etc.), the amount commensurate to # of guests. It’s a welcoming touch that most diners expect. Other than that, we enjoyed our dinner and time spent!

   Great place. Wonderful service. Great food. I will absolutely eat here again. I would say that the food description is hard to understand. They don’t have tons of gluten free but there is plenty of choices.

   Very nice location. The river is across the road and there was abundant parking. Ambience inside was pleasant. Service was outstanding. The server took time to insure that some of the menu items I was considering were appropriate for my diet. The fresh salad with fruit was delicious as was the Cuban sandwich (without cheese). The restrooms were clean. We will return if we find ourselves in the area again (our grandson was playing soccer in Muscatine).

   Breakfast was delicious and very reasonably priced. My man loved the breakfast tacos, while I went with traditional eggs and bacon. In addition, we had appetizers as well and they were also excellent. The French onion soup was some of the best I've ever tasted. Crab cakes were very good too!!

    Maxwell’s is located in a very modern upscale hotel located along the Mississippi river. The views of the river are really nice. We were staying at a COE campground about 13 miles from Muscatine. We have a small 25 foot RV and we were able to park it directly across the street from the hotel. We were very pleased with the quality of food and service at Maxwell’s. My wife had a shrimp and pasta dish and I had the Ahi tuna. We will return if our travels take us back through Muscatine. We highly recommend going there if you are traveling through the area.
