    We're loving this place! You are in one of the prettiest, warmest dining rooms you can imagine, rich in Palm Springs history. The staff is so congenial and welcoming. Last night I opted for the sea bass - I'm addicted to the Steak Diane - but wanted a change. It was rich, tender and delicious .

    it’s a lovely restaurant and I ordered a hamburger, I always think it’s a good test for the kitchen. The hamburger itself was tasty…..once I got all of the stuff off of it. The cheese was flavorless and the sauce they put on it was so sweet that it masked the taste of the beef. The fries were not particularly warm and were unsalted, and I had to ask for salt and pepper. I may go back and try something fancier, maybe that’s the thing. My server was very good and the ambiance was charming.

    This was our second time dining here. We had Shelly as our server both times which she is fabulous! Great food and dining experience!

    We were expecting a nostalgic 1950’s ambience but it just didn’t hit the mark. It’s a fine restaurant but we drove for 30 minutes up from Indian Hills for the experience and passed plenty of fine restaurants on the way.

    Wonderful ambiance. Our waiter Daniel was excellent, tremendous service. Beautiful place. Our first visit was 2001 and then 2/13/2025. We won’t wait that long for our next visit!

    We went to dinner at Melvyn’s last night with our friends and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, that atmosphere wonderful and our server, Jose’ was very attentive and friendly. We will be back!

    The service was very good. The shrimp cocktail was excellent. The cherries jubilee was entertaining (made tableside) and delicious. Prices are steep and it was a bit noisy inside.
