   Service was very sub par but the polar bear room was beautiful. I was unfortunate disappointed with the overall experience. Server was nice but unfortunately had no idea how to serve a big party. No one really came to help her and it didn’t feel very special as we had hoped it to be.

   I love the food at Mercat but we booked the Pilar Bear room and I didn’t realize it was in the lobby of the office building attached to Mercat. The Polar Bears were cute but barely came on to sing and it was soooooooo quiet. It just made the ambiance boring. After the bears sang, generic lobby music would come on and it was just cold and boring environment. The trees were beautiful but they need to re-think making this cozier and more lively. It wasn’t THAT special and I would’ve preferred being in the regular restaurant. Then, they were out of oysters AND muscles and it was only 7:00 pm. Service was slow. Disappointment

   Terrible. The food came out cold. The service took such a long time and the manager had to comp much of the bill which is why I’m even leaving a 2 rating.

   Such a fun experience with my new grand baby and family. Food and service was perfect. I had not been there for dinner in a long time and have forgotten how delicious the food is there. Short ribs and salmon were amazing. My family members had the chicken and said it was the best they had ever had. Thanks mercat for the perfect ending to our Christmas holiday.

   We did the Polar Bear Experience. It was disappointing. The polar bears were cute and the area was decorated well. Service and food were lacking. We waited 20+ minutes to get iced tea, longer for hot chocolate. The food took awhile to come out, as well. The food was airport quality. Would not go back.

    They didn’t have two options listed on the kids menu. They couldn’t make Shirley Temples for the kids even though the waitress suggested it. They were out of crème brûlée. The tables were super small even with two kids. We paid to see the bears and reserved about a month ago. We were seated behind a giant white tree, three members of our party could not see the bears at all during dinner. It was very disappointing since we came to see the bears during dinner. My kids were sad.
