   The place itself is very charming and decorated nicely for Christmas. Food was very good but the staff and how attentive they are is what makes this place. I felt like we had 4 waiters and my wife and I were very appreciative. Great restaurant, great ambiance and then you can walk off that food in one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to.

   Beautifully decorated inside and very warm (nice in the winter). We got the most popular shrimp spaghetti dish, along with a rigatoni and steak medallion dish, and a roast goose and polenta dish as a main. All the food was delicious and service was good - just a bit more than we’d expect to pay for this normally. We did have two glasses of wine and had to purchase water so I suppose that is why too (and service fee was included). Overall I’d go again and recommend it, but if you only had one or two meals in Budapest and are able to get good Italian wherever you normally are, I’d say try something else and come here if you have time for a 3rd or 4th meal.

    Fun experience at Mercatino! The manager was brilliant and entertaining and made us feel really valued as guests at his restaurant, the food was also brilliant - I had steak pasta and my partner had "The Pasta", we would definitely come here again if we return to Budapest.
