   This was our first spot for food during our trip to Nola. They were flexible when we showed up an hour early for our reservation and we were sat quickly. We ordered the meatballs, the pineapple upside down cornbread, the turkey necks and the 100 layer potatoes to share between the two of us since they were small plates. We got swindled into ordering the pocket bread but it ended up being really good so no complaints. The meatballs were 10/10 I could’ve eaten way more of them. The pineapple upside down cornbread was really good and unique but the bacon overpowered any pineapple. The 100 layer potatoes were fantastic probably my favorite along with the meatballs. My husband enjoyed the flavor of the turkey necks but complained that they had very little meat on them. This is a nice spot for some tasty, unique shareables over good conversation.

   My friends, who come to NO annually, said this was a great place. NOT! Poor service, food was abismal, shrimp tacos were like rocks, meatballs were cold amd the cauliflower had no flavor. We ordered extra sauce for the cauliflower and were charged an extra dollar for $18 cauliflower. YIKES! Absolutely nothing good here...

   2nd visit within past 6 weeks. Big selection of items between 4 of us. Wings, dumplings & scallops continue to be favories. Underwhelmed with red curry crab noodles & Mexican street corn. Crawfish beignets special also so so. Deserts are all great.

   This remains a goto venue for us. Service is always good, friendly and amenable to my sense of humor. Food is always interesting as the menu changes frequently.

   We had the best dinner at Meril. Craig took outstanding care of us. He and all the other members of the team seemed genuinely happy to be there, and their positive energy was contagious. The food was delicious. We’ll be craving more of it until our next trip to New Orleans.

   From food, to service, to an amazing chef dishing out complimentary cotton candy (that’s right…cotton candy!?), this is a restaurant I’ll never forget! Couldn’t be more worth the money!

   I was so hopeful this was going to be good but it just was not. We were seated promptly and they brought water quickly but then we just sat waiting for our drink order to be taken until I asked someone for help. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time because we didn’t want to wait longer. They served the first course before the drinks were served and I had to ask again for the drinks and then they brought one and not the other and I had to call the waiter again to ask for the second drink. Sadly I never got my last course and had to get up and walk to the front and ask for the check because it seemed Like the kitchen was closing. It was just not a good experience. I worked with the late great chef Michel Richard for years as a manager with him in Santa Barbara so I know good service and food and this was not what we had hoped.
