   To start, there was a comment card that was previously filled out that came with the check. Our server’s name was Cortland T. We came with four adults and two children and the timing for the food came out spaced out to the point where the children here already finished with their meal when the adults’ entrees came out. The food was delicious but the temperature of the food had cooled so it felt the food was sitting a bit before being bought out. I understand the mandatory 20% gratuity for 6 or more but I felt like that was where I am not getting what I paid for. And one more thing was that they ran out of French fries on a dinner service at 6 pm. Who runs out of French fries at a Sunday dinner service before 7 pm?

   Server “Kayla” was great with explaining dishes and with recommendations. I always bring visiting travelers here. They enjoyed everything. Merrimans never disappoint! Keep up the excellent work on “everything” Kauai/big island also great!

   I have been in this restaurant few times. Last night was 1st time couldn’t accommodate my gluten sensitivity on the menu. The waiter described the food bland with no spices. Instead asking the chef how to make it gluten free. Overall was great food

   Delicious food that clearly spoke of fine/high end dining. Very attentive service without being nosy. Did have some issues with communication prior to the visit, but was made up by great food + service. Visited it after 7 years (different island) and it was the right decision!

   This was our first year doing Merriman's Thanksgiving Prix Fixe Menu and it did not disappoint. The service from the staff was amazing from the hostess to the food runners. Everything ordered was tasty and the wine pairings were on point. Definitely would recommend for your next Holiday evening.

   Well made food and cocktails. They were able to accommodate my dietary restriction - Celiac, Gluten Free. Service was friendly yet professional. Large outdoor area that does allow well behaved dogs.

    We have had great food at Merriman’s but I must say that the Thanksgiving food was of a very poor quality. It was like we had been at a cafeteria line. Nothing tasted great and for that price it was awful. The yams were the consistency of stewed tomatoes, the cranberry sauce tasted more like pineapple sauce, the green beans were extremely spicy so we didn’t eat them, I couldn’t find much goat cheese in my beet salad and my chocolate purse was very hard. With the tip and one non-alcoholic drink we spent over $300 and I couldn’t find much have gone to a fine dining restaurant for that amount.
