Established in 1987, Meson Don Felipe was the first Tapas Bar in London and we are still an independent, family-run business. You can expect great tapas and some amazing, well-priced Spanish wines, served in an authentic, relaxed atmosphere.
We have an outside terrace with heaters and umbrellas but of course, we can't promise the weather! If you book outside we can't guarantee a table inside if the weather changes.
For those unable to eat-in, we offer our famous Paellas for takeaway at lunchtime Monday-Friday.
Thank you for all your support and we look forward to welcoming you soon to this little bit of Spain in Waterloo.

Great tapas, wide range of excellent Spanish wines and sherries, what's not to like? It can get rather noisy that's the only thing against this lovely place.

We were late- phoned to apologise so delighted that they held the reservation for us. Greeted by a server who indicated the table but didn’t smile… Busy and food arrived quickly. Don’t feel that staff were invested in making this a special experience- it was ok overall but certainly not memorable or special.

Haven't been to Meson Don Filipe for about 25 years! It did not disappoint. Great selection of well-prepared tapas, fantastic wine list, great staff. Casual, lively and about the most authentic tapas restaurant I know. Why did I leave it so long?...

Been many times before.Quite busy for a Monday evening.New look menu ( though courses are broadly the same ) and mostly new staff who didn’t have the charisma of the previous team.No longer serve the 500ml carafe of the house table wine which was very good value although the choice wine menu is comprehensive and the glass of Temprillo/ Syrah which I chose was superlative. My wife and I were satiated with 4 bowls of excellent tapas dishes.

Meson don Felipe used to be much better. much more choice in the old days like a proper tapas bar. It is still a nice place to go but very expensive now - bread £4.75 ! a bowl of bottled olives £5 the excuse that everything has gone up is wearing thin. The only thing that is going up is their profit. Wages have not increased that much , nor have rates. The expense of food now is pure greed. Especially as the quality has gone down. Many more people are now eating elsewhere or at home. That is why the place was half empty. A great shame as i used to love this place.
